About
Projects
Young individuals often express interest in volunteering initiatives, yet frequently lack awareness of their role as citizens and how to actively engage in such activities. This shortfall in information and collective understanding hampers their ability to be actively involved and contribute meaningfully to society. While voluntary organizations aim to draw attention to diverse initiatives, the focus is often diverted from the actual implementation of project ideas. Consequently, comprehending the essence, dimensions, and benefits of volunteering becomes the responsibility of European Union citizens as a whole. The insufficiency of information and lack of awareness among young people diminishes their involvement as volunteers, leading to sporadic engagements that seldom yield enduring positive outcomes. This challenge is prevalent on both the European and international fronts, as each country advocates for volunteerism to varying extents.
The ongoing project endeavors to achieve the following:
- Raise awareness about the profound significance of volunteering in nurturing a vibrant civil society.
- Introduce and familiarize participants with the diverse forms and facets of volunteering.
- Cultivate innovative concepts for future activities and establish the groundwork for their execution.
By implementing this project, we aim to:
- Rediscover volunteering as a catalyst for the personal and professional growth of young individuals.
- Create avenues for youth to actively participate in their society through volunteerism.
- Highlight the importance of the youth demographic within the community and their capacity to effect positive change.
- Establish a foundation for empowering informed and active young citizens.
- Enhance crucial skills and competencies among young participants.
To accomplish our objectives, our partnering organization, boasting extensive experience in volunteer activities at both national and international levels, will play a pivotal role. Leveraging their expertise, including collaboration with Turkish organizations, will significantly contribute to the project’s success. While the project’s young participants possess prior volunteering experience, they seek to further explore it as a means of self-expression and personal growth. The project aims to foster conclusions and results during the exchange period that resonate widely among participants’ networks and society at large, aiming to promote and propagate best practices in volunteering. Importantly, the project’s activities and objectives align seamlessly with the priorities outlined in the Erasmus+ program.
